DREAMS

AHHHHHHH.... This stupid alarm... I should have just thrown it out of the window while thinking I reached the side table and turned off the alarm. What a beautiful day I thought while looking at the window through which morning sunlight rays were penetrating and illuminating my room.

"Oh shoot I am late "By saying this I climbed off the bed and started getting ready for my most awaited day. Today is the inauguration of my Book Café " Cozy Nest". I am so happy today as it was my dream to open a café where we read and eat. I have always had this dream of opening a book café because only were there for me in my solitude. For me, it became a means of escaping from reality. I want my café to be a pilgrimage for those who want an escape from reality for some time...

Back to earth Anu. Come on let's get ready for the day yayyyy.

After freshening up I wore a Dark red blazer on top of a black V-neck spaghetti top with matching dark red formal flared pants. I accessorized it with a beautiful golden choker accompanied by a Louis Vuitton earring and a Calvin Klein Watch. And applied minimal makeup to enhance my natural features. I left my hair open which cascaded over my shoulder.

Before heading out I checked myself once more and said "Soni toh main hoon" ( I am pretty) after giggling I went towards the pooja room as I always start my day with my Kanha ji...

Maa was already there in the pooja room doing her routine aarti. To be honest it's not very comfortable being in the same room with both my parents. It's suffocating sometimes...

I have disappointed them a lot that's why I want to prove myself to them.

After Aarti, she turned around and saw and smiled slightly. She offered me Prasad and went to distribute it to others. I turned to my Kanha ji and said " Kanha jii aaj hum apne sapne ke taraf ek kadam bada rahe hai aapka aashirvaad humesha aapke iss bakht par banaye rakhna" (Kanha ji, today I have taken a step closer towards my dream, may your blessings always remain with me).

AT BREAKFAST

Everyone was already seated in their usual seats and waiting for me to join them. I went and sat near my Brother, Parth, he is 2 years younger than me and recently started working at my father's company. After graduating I was also forced to be part of the company but as it was something I never enjoyed I left the company and from that day I became distant from my parents. I broke out of my trance when my dear brother ( please note the sarcasm) blew in my ears. AHHHH... I shrieked mentally he does this every time he loves irritating his sisters.

After that, everyone started eating in silence. The silence broke when Papa asked me " At what time is your inauguration ceremony" " Papa it's at 11:00 am" I replied. He nodded after hearing my reply. I mentally prepared myself for the next request I was about to make. "Breathe Anu Breathe," I thought. Ok then " Papa Maa can you inaugurate my cafe because I want both of your blessings to embark on my new journey" I said. Papa looked at me and said, " OK we will be there". I was on cloud nine after hearing his reply and thanked both my parents. "Hey you both baboons be there before 11:00 because I need your help with a little bit of arrangements," I said after Maa-papa left. " Superb Di aapko humari yaad ab aayi" (superb sis you remembered us now) my sister my jigar ka tukda, Aashvi asked. "Ole humara bacha aashu, aau di apne di ke pass aau" ( Ohh my little sister Aashu come here) I said. I pulled her ears and said " Agar dono late hue na dekh lena dono ki kya halat karenge hum". I glared at them playfully and they both giggled. My Aashu is currently in her last year MBA course. And I truly hope that she can fulfil her dreams too.

As I was about to leave for my cafe Parth came to me said " Di agar aapko koi café me pareshan kare toh hume aake batana hum dekh lenge unhe"( Di if you face any problems in the café just come to me I will solve it ). I laughed at his seriousness and said " oo mere pyaare chotu bhai itna protective hone ki zaroorat nahi hai. Your di is capable of handling these kinds of situations very well. So you don't worry." (oo my cute lil bro no need to be so protective.)

"But di..." Before he could say something more I cut him off and said " Jaldi nahi aaye toh tumhare favorite choco brownie cancel". He sighed and hugged me . I giggled at his attics. I got in the car and started moving towards my destination. Before reaching there I got a message from my father saying that he had invited his friends to the inauguration ceremony to which I happily replied thank you for supporting Papa. I don't why but from morning I'm getting a feeling that my life is about change. Yes of course it is changing because finally, I have started chasing my dreams. I hope everything goes smoothly today.
